Professional holistic services and career training together with the survivor’s short term and long term goals are interwoven to create a Personalized Individual Growth Plan for each survivor. This plan serves as the road map for the survivor’s time at the Homestead.
sendPROGRAM DETAILS Bible Study Topics: self-esteem, boundaries, identity in Christ, spiritual warfare, female sexual addiction, and domestic violence.
Homestead Support Group Women at Homestead participate in a support group with other survivors in the house led by a licensed therapist. The group meets weekly for healing in community.
Individual Counseling & Therapy Each woman entering the program is set up with a drug and alcohol counselor as well as a mental health counselor in partnership with Pawnee Mental Health. In addition, each Homestead participant meets with a licensed trauma-informed therapist during her stay.
Mentoring Each Homestead survivor will have a mentor to come alongside her as a role model and healthy friend, offering practical help to accomplish the goals she sets in her individual growth plan.
Health Care Each Homestead participant has access to primary care, in partnership with Dr. Debbie Doubek at Flint Hills Community Clinic for those without insurance.

The vital connection of Homesteaders to the local church is a significant part of their continued healing while at The Homestead.
Job Apprenticeships Job Apprenticeship is a training strategy that provides supervised, structured on-the-job training by employers in our local community. Most of the job apprenticeships can be completed in 6-12 months and provide the graduate with a letter of recommendation from the business concerning the trade that the participant has trained in to send out with her resume to possible employers, as well as a positive reference from the business concerning her trade.

Educational Opportunities The Homestead will provide survivors with opportunities to obtain a GED, secondary education, and specialized educational training from institutions in the Flint Hills or online.
Homestead Plus is an aftercare program for Homestead graduates as a next step (up to 6 months in length). Homestead Plus also serves as an option for a mother and young child(ren).
